Ponderosa Pine is a handsome native tree from western North America. In gardens it is an ideal choice for larger spaces, or for informal settings, such as a cottage or beach house. It is a fast-growing tree, adding more than 12 inches of height each year, and it grows between 60 and up to 125 feet tall in time.

Austrian Pine is an easy to grow, dense, pyramidal evergreen when young. Although this conifer does become flat-topped with age. It has long, stiff, dark-green needles. This species withstands adverse city conditions and road salt well. Maintain by "candle pruning" each May. The current year’s new shoots, or "candles," can be cut with hand pruners or pinched off to the desired length.
